Bass
Contested · 8 srcSources split: the quantity is on the graph, but the physical delivery divides them. One camp hears a tight, fast, deliberately restrained low end suited to monitoring; the other hears an armature bass short of slam, weight and authority.
Both IEC-711 rigs put the bass shelf at roughly +5 to +6.5 dB over 500 Hz, centred near 50 Hz and easing back slightly below that. Against the original Orchestra measured on the same rigs (+1.8 to +2.6 dB), the Lite carries about 4 dB more bass, not less.
⚠ vs. listeners — The graph shows a normal, even generous bass shelf, so the split is not about quantity. It is about armature delivery: the same restrained attack and short decay reads as accurate to one camp and as hollow to the other.
“they are comfortably tuned to display just the right amount of bass”
