Cayin rates the RU7 at 160 mW into 32 Ω from the 3.5 mm output and 400 mW from the 4.4 mm, with output impedance of 0.5 Ω single-ended and 1 Ω balanced; the shared line-out mode is fixed at 1.2 Vrms and 2.4 Vrms. Published THD+N is 0.006% (3.5 mm) and 0.008% (4.4 mm) into 32 Ω. Because the dongle has no battery, the real limit is often the host: ecoustics traced dropouts to an iPhone's Lightning port supplying 4.2 V at 400 mA, and twister6 reproduced the same stuttering on iPhone at DSD256, which cleared at DSD128.
