THX Ltd. is an American audio company founded at Lucasfilm in 1983 and based in San Rafael, California, best known for its audiovisual reproduction standards and certification program for cinemas, home theaters and consumer electronics. Owned by Razer since 2016, it also licenses its THX AAA headphone-amplifier technology to other makers, and in 2021 launched its first own-brand consumer product, the Onyx portable DAC/amp.
