SSL

Solid State Logic — universally shortened to SSL — is a British professional-audio manufacturer founded in 1969 by Colin Sanders, who began by building solid-state control systems for church organs, which is where the name comes from. Its 4000-series consoles of the late 1970s and 1980s became the standard desk of large-format studio mixing, and the company now also makes compact mixers, audio interfaces, outboard, plug-ins and the U-Series DAW control surfaces. It has been part of the Audiotonix group since 2017.
