A ribbon headphone almost everyone calls fast, detailed and spacious, and almost nobody calls finished: the treble, the tuning and the foam-and-steel build are where it divides people.

RAAL-requisite is a Serbian-American headphone maker pairing RAAL's true-ribbon drivers, hand-built in Serbia by the craftspeople behind RAAL's ribbon tweeters, with a US operation in Ventura, California. It made the open-baffle SR-1a and SR-1b "earfield monitors", the circumaural CA-1a, and the TI-series transformer boxes that let ribbon headphones run from ordinary amplifiers. Its newer flagships carry the RAAL 1995 name, distributed in the Americas by Requisite Audio.
